Aroe Jari Cavern & Lagoa Azul Cave Hiking Tour

Join us on a hiking tour to explore Aroe Jari Cavern and Lagoa Azul Grotto in Chapada dos Guimarães.

Tour Highlights

At the specified time, you will be picked up from your hotel in Chapada dos Guimarães to begin the hiking route. The trail spans approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) at the Aroe Jari Cavern Tourist Complex, located within the Água Fria farm.

During the hike, we will visit three notable caves, including the Gruta da Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon Grotto), and discuss the history of the ancestors who inhabited this area.

This complex is home to some of the largest sandstone caves in South America, with the Aroe Jari Cavern being Brazil's largest. Don't forget your camera as you will see unique rock formations like Ponte de Pedra and Pedra do Equilíbrio.

The tour will conclude with a visit to Gruta da Lagoa Azul, known for its clear waters. We will have a break for lunch, featuring a traditional local meal with plantain farofa, fried fish or chicken, rice, salad, and beans.

To finish the day, enjoy a refreshing swim at Cachoeira do Relógio after approximately eight hours of hiking, before being returned to your hotel.
