Description

When booking, you can choose between two different options. Both include pickup at your hotel in Chaves at 9 am, English-speaking guide, and return transfer. Below are the details of each option:

Tour of Chaves, Boticas, and Montalegre

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chaves to start this tour of Trás-os-Montes. We'll go to Alto Tâmega, one of the regions that comprise Trás-os-Montes, visiting its picturesque villages. The first stop will be Montalegre, known for its 13th-century castle. We will visit the castle and the Montalegre Ecomuseum to learn more about the town's history and heritage.

The next stop will be Boticas, where we will tour its Rural Museum, showcasing old agricultural tools and ethnographic objects. After the visit, you will have one hour of free time for lunch and to taste Portuguese gastronomy. Following this, we will visit Chaves, observing the medieval fortress, Roman bridge of Trajano, and thermal baths, with the tour concluding at 5 pm.

Tour of Chaves, Valpaços, and Vila Pouca de Aguiar

This option begins with a visit to Chaves. From there, we will go to Vila Pouca de Aguiar to explore the Parque de Pedras Salgadas, known for its natural beauty. We will then proceed to Valpaços, visiting the Wine Museum to learn about local wine traditions. The tour will end at 5 pm at your hotel.
