- 6 Stunden
Discover the main attractions of the City of Pandas on this guided tour of Chengdu. An English-speaking guide will reveal all of the city's secrets to you!
Description
We'll meet at Tianfu Square at the scheduled time. The guided tour will begin by exploring this square, which features notable monuments, including the white sculpture of Mao Tse Tung and the dragon-shaped fountains. This area provides an opportunity to discuss the history of Chengdu, which dates back over 4000 years.
Next, we'll visit the Chengdu Museum, the largest and most complete in the city. The tour here spans from prehistoric times to the foundation of the People's Republic of China in the 1940s.
After this, we will continue to Chengdu People's Park, which was previously an underground air raid shelter used during the Second World War. This park is popular among locals who engage in daily dances and visit the famous blind date corner.
The tour will also include a journey through the iconic long and narrow alleyways of Chengdu, showcasing oldest buildings from the Qing dynasty and Western styles.
Additionally, we will stop at a café to enjoy some typical tea to conclude the tour. The tour lasts a total of 6 hours of walking.
