Dujiangyan Panda Base Volunteer Experience

Join the Dujiangyan Panda Base Volunteer Experience from Chengdu. Participants will help prepare the pandas' favorite meals.

The tour includes a hotel pick-up in Chengdu, followed by a direct trip to the Dujiangyan Panda Bear Reserve, located approximately two hours away.

Upon arrival, participants will wear staff uniforms and tour the facility where the pandas live, surrounded by bamboo and various vegetation. Volunteers will assist in preparing the pandas' food, as their diet consists of more than just bamboo. Additional tasks include helping staff maintain the areas where the pandas sleep. Lunch will be provided in the employees' cafeteria.

After lunch, a documentary about pandas will be shown. Participants will then prepare a snack for the pandas, consisting of a fruit and corn cake, which the bears enjoy.

The return trip includes a brief stop at Dujiangyan Zhongshug, known for its impressive architecture and extensive collection of books, before concluding the 7-hour activity with a drop-off at the hotel in Chengdu.
