Market Tour of Chennai

We will meet in front of the statue of King George V in the city center, from where we will begin the tour of Chennai's charming markets and bazaars.

Our first stop is Sowcarpet, one of the oldest and most significant commercial areas in the city. Stroll through captivating streets and stalls while learning about the city's trading history.

Next, we will visit Godown Street, a prime shopping area for textiles, dresses, saris, and other traditional Indian garments. Our guide will explain the traditional uses of these outfits, and you'll have the opportunity to buy one as a souvenir.

After Godown Street, we will explore Black Town and George Town, known for their bustling alleys, street vendors, and artisan market stalls, representing the authentic Indian shopping experience.

Following that, we will visit Parry's Corner market, popular among locals and tourists. Each street specializes in different products such as saris, rugs, handicrafts, and lamps.

The tour will conclude at Burma Bazaar, managed by refugees from Myanmar, offering tech products and perfumes at competitive prices.
