Discover the Old City and the most important Buddhist temples in northern Thailand on this fantastic private tour of Chiang Mai!

Description

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai to start exploring the city's emblematic sites and important temples, reflecting over 700 years of history.

The tour begins at the Wat Phra Singh Temple, a lavish sanctuary in the western Old City, with origins dating back to the mid-14th century.

Next, we will visit the Wat Chedi Luang Temple, which once served as a fortress against Burmese invasions. Inside, we will see the large chedi that once housed the Emerald Buddha. Continuing through the historic center, our guide will show us the Wat Chiang Man Temple, the oldest in Chiang Mai, famous for its unique spaces and many elephant figures in its chedi.

We will also explore a unique wooden temple in a central location, known for its impressive woodwork and a large Buddha statue, where rituals may be observed on certain days.

After experiencing the grandeur of these important temples, we'll visit a local fruit and vegetable market, learning about the ingredients used in Thai cuisine. The tour concludes after four to four and a half hours of exploring Chiang Mai.
