Discover the Old City and the most important Buddhist temples in northern Thailand on this fantastic private tour of Chiang Mai!

Description

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai to begin exploring some of the city's most emblematic sites and temples. Chiang Mai has more than 700 years of history to discover!

The tour will start with a visit to the Wat Phra Singh Temple, a popular sanctuary dating back to the mid-14th century, located in the western part of the Old City.

Next, we visit the Wat Chedi Luang Temple, formerly used as a fortress against Burmese invasions, where we will see the huge chedi that once housed the Emerald Buddha. Continuing through the historic center, we'll see the Wat Chiang Man Temple, the oldest temple in the city, known for its elephant figures in the chedi.

We'll then explore a unique wooden temple in the central area, admiring its woodwork and the large Buddha. Rituals may be observed on some days.

After visiting these important temples, we'll head to a local fruit and vegetable market to learn about products used in Thai cuisine. The tour lasts four to four and a half hours.
