Enjoy an unforgettable day trip to an elephant conservation center in Chiang Mai, a unique experience in Thailand.
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai between 7 and 8 am and take you for breakfast. After a 1.5-hour drive, we will arrive at the Elephant Conservation Center.
Upon arrival, the center's managers will explain their conservation project aimed at improving the quality of life for the elephants. You will have the opportunity to feed the elephants cucumbers, as they are accustomed to human interaction.
After feeding, we'll walk 1.5 miles (2.5 km) alongside the elephants to a river, where we will observe their bathing rituals. A vehicle will then take us to a nearby waterfall, where you can enjoy a swim in the refreshing waters.
After swimming, we will visit a local restaurant for lunch, which generally includes a meat dish, papaya salad, fried rice, and vegetables. Vegan or vegetarian options are available upon request.
At the end of the trip, we will return to your hotel in Chiang Mai, arriving between 4 and 5 pm.
Hotel pickup
Pickup is included for hotels within a 1.2-mile radius (2 km) of Chiang Mai. If you are located outside this area, you will need to reach one of the hotels that provide pickup service; details will be provided after your booking.
