Elephant Sanctuary Chiang Mai Day Trip

This unique experience caring for, feeding and bathing Thai elephants at the Chiang Mai sanctuary provides an unforgettable day of interaction with these majestic animals.

Day Trip Details

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel between 8 and 8:30 am, followed by a drive towards the Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary that takes approximately an hour and a half through the Thai rainforest. Upon arrival at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, you will engage in preparing food for the elephants, followed by an opportunity to hand-feed them! Additionally, you will experience bathing them in mud, playing, and taking photographs. Throughout the day, the guides will share insights about the elephants, interesting facts, and instructions on how to care for them.

After a traditional Thai lunch, you'll accompany the elephants to the river for their bath. Remember to bring swimwear if you wish to join them!

At the end of your enriching day, you will be returned to your hotel between 5 and 5:30 pm.

Half-Day Tour

If preferred, a half-day excursion to the elephant sanctuary is available at booking. You can choose to participate in this six-hour tour starting either at 6:30 am or 11:30 am, which follows a similar itinerary to the full-day trip but with less time spent at the sanctuary—perfect for those with a tighter schedule!

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes a pickup and drop-off service from accommodations located within 3 miles (5 km) of Tha Pae Gate in Chiang Mai. For those staying outside this range, please check the following meeting points based on your chosen option:
