Elephant Sanctuary Chiang Mai Day Trip

This unique experience caring for, feeding and bathing Thai elephants at this sanctuary in Chiang Mai will leave you lost for words. An unforgettable day!

Day Trip Details

After pickup from your hotel between 8 and 8:30 am, we will head to the Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary, located 1.5 hours away through the Thai rainforest. At the sanctuary, you will prepare food and have opportunities to hand-feed, bathe in mud, and play with the elephants. Guides will provide insights about the elephants and their care. Following a traditional Thai lunch, we'll take the elephants to the river for a bathing session. Swimwear is recommended if you wish to join. We will return you to your hotel between 5 and 5:30 pm.

Half-Day Tour

You can select a half-day excursion to the elephant sanctuary when booking. This six-hour tour can start at either 6:30 am or 11:30 am, following a similar itinerary but with less time at the sanctuary, suitable for those with limited time.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes pickup and drop-off from accommodations within 3 miles (5 km) of Tha Pae Gate. If your hotel is outside this area, meet at the following points based on your chosen option:
