Chicago Theatre Tour
At the specified time, we will meet at the entrance of the Chicago Theatre and begin this guided tour of the most famous theater in Chicago and one of the most significant in the United States.
The Chicago Theatre was inaugurated in 1921 and features a luxurious style. The hall was inspired by the Royal Chapel of Versailles and accommodates 3,600 people. The theater enjoyed four decades of success until the late 1970s when economic and social issues led to its decline into a decadent cinema. In 1986, it was saved from demolition and reopened with a concert by Frank Sinatra.
Artists such as Alicia Keys, Dolly Parton, Prince, Oasis, and Van Morrison have performed at the Theatre. During the Chicago Theatre tour, we will learn its history from a professional guide while exploring the main hall, climbing the staircase, and more. You will experience the impressive size and acoustics of the auditorium.
We will also visit the Theatre's dressing rooms and step onto the stage where artists like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin have performed.
Temporary Closure
At times, some areas of the Chicago Theatre may be restricted during the tour due to ongoing shows.
