Chicago Theatre Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Chicago Theatre to begin this guided tour. The Chicago Theatre was inaugurated in 1921, designed with an elegant style inspired by the Royal Chapel of Versailles. It features a seven-floor stall system and has a capacity for 3,600 people.
After four decades of success, the theatre faced a crisis in the late 1970s, leading to its deterioration. It was saved from demolition in 1986 and reopened with a concert by Frank Sinatra.
Since then, notable artists like Alicia Keys, Dolly Parton, and Prince have performed here. During the tour, participants will learn about its history, explore the main hall, and marvel at the size and acoustics of the auditorium. There will also be visits to the dressing rooms and the stage where legends like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin have performed.
Temporary Closure
At times, certain areas of the Chicago Theatre may be restricted during the tour due to ongoing shows.
