Trip Overview
At the scheduled time, our meeting point will be at number 87 on Ctra. de Medina de Chiclana de la Frontera, from where we'll venture towards the renowned Costa del Atún, celebrated as the premier seaside destination in Cádiz province!
The first destination on our itinerary will be Bolonia Beach, home to the significant Baelo Claudia archaeological site. Here, we will delve into the fascinating history of this Roman settlement as we stroll among the remnants of its ancient fish-salting factory, famed for producing garum, a condiment that enhanced many Roman meals.
Once we've soaked in the historical ambiance of Baelo Claudia, we'll continue our coastal journey to Tarifa. This charming town, perched on the shores of the Strait of Gibraltar, holds the title of the southernmost city in Western Europe. A guided tour of the old town awaits, where we will pass by the Puerta de Jerez, the church of San Francisco, and see the exterior of the majestic Castle of Guzmán el Bueno. Following this, you’ll have an hour for leisure to savor a local meal—be sure to try their iconic tuna dishes!
Concluding our day, we’ll head to Zahara de los Atunes, where we can take in the impressive ancient walls and pristine beach, providing a tranquil closing to our extensive tour!
Ultimately, we will return to our initial meeting point, completing this enriching experience in a span of 6 hours.
