Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at number 87 of Ctra. de Medina de Chiclana de la Frontera and head towards the Costa del Atún, the most famous coastal area of the province of Cádiz.
Our first stop will be Bolonia Beach, where the Baelo Claudia archaeological site is located. We'll learn about the history of this ancient Roman enclave while walking through the remains of its salting factory, known for preparing garum, a sauce for Roman dishes.
After Baelo Claudia, we will continue to Tarifa, the southernmost city in Western Europe, situated on the shores of the Strait of Gibraltar. A guided tour of its old town will include the Puerta de Jerez, the church of San Francisco, and the exterior of the Castle of Guzmán el Bueno. You'll have an hour of free time to enjoy a local meal featuring traditional tuna recipes.
To conclude the trip, we'll visit Zahara de los Atunes to admire its ancient walls and beautiful beach. After this comprehensive tour, we will return to the meeting point, completing a total duration of 6 hours.
