Chepe Express 3-Day Tour: Creel & Copper Canyon

On our 3-Day Tour around Creel and the Copper Canyon, we'll travel through breathtaking scenery aboard the famous Chepe Express. Join us on our adventure through the Sierra Tarahumara!

3-Day Tour Details

Day 1: Chihuahua - Creel

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chihuahua and travel to Creel. On the way, we'll visit the Mennonite community of Cuauhtémoc, where we'll see a regional museum, the Américas cheese factory, and a local bakery for lunch featuring empanadas de queso. After lunch, we'll explore Lake Arareco, Los Hongos and Ranas Valley, the Jesuit mission of San Ignacio, and a cave inhabited by the Tarahumara Indigenous people. Arrive in Creel for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Creel - Divisadero

After breakfast, we'll board the Chepe Express to Divisadero, enjoying views of the Sierra Tarahumara. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and have lunch. You'll have 4 hours to explore the Copper Canyon Adventure Park, take photos from viewpoints, cross a suspension bridge, and stroll through pine forests. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 3: Divisadero - Chihuahua

After breakfast, you'll have 1 hour of free time for hiking in the Copper Canyon area. We will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, arriving at 3 PM.

Partial Closures

The Mennonite community of Cuauhtémoc will be closed on Sundays. If your tour coincides with this date, we'll replace the visit with a lunch in a Mennonite restaurant.

This tour includes 2 nights' accommodation:

Creel (1st night): Hacienda Don Armando (4 stars) or similar.Divisadero (2nd night): Hotel Divisadero Barrancas (4 stars) or similar.

Additional Info

If 2 adults and 1 child are staying in the same room, book 2 adults in a double room plus 1 child. If 1 adult and 1 child are staying, book 1 adult in a single room plus 1 child. Only one reservation per room type is allowed.

Itinerary Adjustments

The Mennonite community of Cuauhtémoc is closed on Sundays; this visit will be substituted with lunch at a Mennonite restaurant.
