Cuauhtemoc Mennonite Fields Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chihuahua at 9 am and depart for Cuauhtemoc, the third-largest city in the state.
Upon arrival, we will head to the outskirts of Cuauhtemoc to explore vast fields cultivated by the Mennonites, an Anabaptist Christian community preserving customs from the 16th century. Their lifestyle is influenced by the doctrines of Protestant leader Menno Simons, a key figure in Anabaptism.
We will gain insight into the daily life and society of the Mexican Mennonites by visiting the Mennonite Museum, where we will learn about their traditions, refusal to use technology, and the language derived from Old German.
After the museum visit, we will enjoy a cheese and sausage tasting made by the Mennonites, utilizing traditional techniques that ensure the products are natural.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, arriving at 2 pm.
