Cuauhtemoc Mennonite Fields Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Chihuahua at 9 am and depart for Cuauhtemoc, the third-largest city in the state.
Upon arrival, we will visit the outskirts of Cuauhtemoc to explore the vast fields, which are essential to the livelihood of the Mennonites, part of the Anabaptist Christian movement. They follow the doctrines of Protestant leader Menno Simons and preserve customs dating back to the 16th century.
During our visit, we will gain insight into daily life and society among Mexican Mennonites at the Mennonite Museum, which provides various facts about this community. Notably, they refuse to use modern technology and speak a language derived from Old German.
After the museum visit, we will enjoy a cheese and sausage tasting produced by the Mennonites, adhering to traditional techniques, ensuring the products are completely natural.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, arriving at 2 pm.
