Learn about the history of the Mexican Revolution on our day trip to Parral. We will depart from Chihuahua and visit the tomb of Pancho Villa, Alvarado Palace, and other key locations.
Tour Details
Pickup will be arranged at your hotel in Chihuahua. We will travel south to Parral, officially known as Hidalgo del Parral, a historic town in the state of Chihuahua.
After a 2.5-hour drive, we will arrive in Parral, where we will take a guided tour to explore its main attractions. The tour includes a visit to Alvarado Palace, featuring neo-renaissance, neo-baroque, and neoclassical styles, along with its richly decorated rooms from various historical periods.
We will also visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the main religious monument, the main square, and the La Prieta mine, where we will learn about mineral extraction.
Next, we will stop at the cemetery of Parral, which contains the tomb of Pancho Villa. We will discuss significant events in his life, as he was a key figure in the Mexican Revolution. Following this, we will enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant in central Parral.
After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, completing the trip in approximately 8 hours.
