Learn all about the history of the Mexican Revolution on our day trip to Parral. We'll set off from Chihuahua and visit the tomb of Pancho Villa, Alvarado Palace, and other significant sites.
Tour Details
Pickup will be at the indicated time from your hotel in Chihuahua, then we head south to Parral, a historic town in Mexico.
After a 2.5-hour drive, we'll arrive in Parral, officially called Hidalgo del Parral, one of the main historic towns in the state of Chihuahua. The town's picturesque streets are home to several monumental buildings rich in history.
A guided tour of Parral will cover its main points of interest. We will visit Alvarado Palace and observe the blend of neo-renaissance, neo-baroque, and neoclassical styles. The luxurious decoration of its various rooms will also be highlighted, reflecting different historical periods.
Next, we'll visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the city's main religious monument, followed by the main square and the La Prieta mine, where we'll learn about mineral extraction.
We'll then stop at the cemetery of Parral, home to Pancho Villa's tomb. A discussion about his life will follow, as he was a key figure in the Mexican Revolution. Afterward, we will have a traditional lunch at a restaurant in central Parral.
Following lunch, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, concluding the tour approximately 8 hours after departure.
