Parral Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chihuahua and set off southbound.
After a drive of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, we'll arrive in Parral, officially known as Hidalgo del Parral. This historic town in the state of Chihuahua is noted for its picturesque streets and monumental buildings.
We'll take a guided tour of Parral to visit its main points of interest. The tour includes Alvarado Palace, showcasing a blend of neo-renaissance, neo-baroque, and neoclassical styles, along with its richly decorated rooms representing various historical periods.
During the tour, we will also visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the main religious monument of the city, the main square, and the La Prieta mine, where we will learn about historical mineral extraction methods.
Next, we will stop at the cemetery of Parral, which contains Pancho Villa's tomb. We will pause at his mausoleum to discuss significant moments of his life as a key figure in the Mexican Revolution. Following this, we will go to a restaurant in central Parral for a traditional lunch featuring local delicacies.
After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, dropping you off by 4 pm.
