Santa Eulalia Mines Tour
At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the mining town of Santa Eulalia, located 12 miles from Chihuahua.
Upon arrival, we'll reveal the history of this town, founded in 1652 by Spanish captain Diego del Castillo after the discovery of a silver mine. Other mines found decades later contributed to the economic and demographic development of Santa Eulalia.
We will learn that the first settlement of the city of Chihuahua was located here before the state capital was moved to another area of the valley, leading to the current city.
Next, we'll visit one of the legendary mines of Santa Eulalia, where we will see various minerals, such as calcites and semi-precious stones, and learn about the stages of activity, which declined in the mid-20th century.
Later, we'll proceed to the Santa Eulalia viewpoint for a panoramic view of the city of Chihuahua.
The tour concludes with your return to the hotel after three hours of sightseeing.
