On this tour of the Santa Eulalia mines, we'll discover the minerals and semi-precious stones found in one of the most famous mining deposits in the state of Chihuahua.

At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the mining town of Santa Eulalia, located 12 miles from Chihuahua.

After your arrival, we'll reveal the history of this town, founded in 1652 by Spanish captain Diego del Castillo after the discovery of a silver mine. Decades later, other mines were found, leading to economic and demographic growth in Santa Eulalia.

We'll also learn that the first settlement of the city of Chihuahua was located here, before it was moved to another area of the valley to establish the current city.

Next, we'll visit one of the legendary mines that made Santa Eulalia known, where we will see different types of minerals, such as calcites and semi-precious stones. We will also learn about the operational stages of these deposits, which faced a decline in activity in the mid-20th century.

Later, we'll visit the Santa Eulalia viewpoint for a panoramic view of the city of Chihuahua. Cameras at the ready!
