Mallín Grande is an ideal starting point to explore the Chilean Patagonia, particularly the scenic General Carrera Lake.

Horseback Riding in Mallín Grande

The horse ride begins at an equestrian center in Mallín Grande, located next to the CH-265 road, at a time of your choice.

Instructors will provide a brief 20-minute talk on riding with ropes and reins. No previous riding experience is necessary. Following this training, the horseback ride will commence.

This low difficulty equestrian route lasts three hours, exploring the surroundings of Mallín Grande. Riders will follow the paths of ancient muleteers through coigües forests.

The route continues along the shores of General Carrera Lake, the largest lake in Chile. Stops will be made at various viewpoints to appreciate the vastness of the lake.

During one of the breaks, participants will enjoy a snack which includes a cereal bar, nuts, and your choice of juice or mineral water. After refreshments, the ride will proceed through other picturesque areas along the lake.

The tour concludes with a return to the starting point.
