Day Trip to the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve + Puno

On this day trip from Chivay, we'll visit the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve and Puno.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel in Chivay, and head south. The first stop will be at the Andean viewpoint of Pata Pampa for views of the volcanic mountain range. Following this, we will continue to the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, known for its captivating landscapes.

In this protected area, we will observe populations of llamas, vicuñas, alpacas, and other native animals. We will also discuss the environmental features that define this location. Our route will continue to Patahuasi, where participants can drink Inca mate to help with altitude sickness.

We will take a moment in Patahuasi to view the Misti and Chachani volcanoes before heading to Lake Lagunillas to spot its flamingos and Andean gulls.

After 6 hours of sightseeing, we will conclude the tour at the Plaza de Armas of Puno.
