Sisga Dam Hiking Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the main gate of the Senderos del Sisga campsite to begin an 8-kilometer (5-mile) hiking route around the Sisga Dam.
Leaving the Sisga lagoon, we'll ascend Cerro La Leonera, a hill featuring numerous cypress trees and various endemic plants typical of the high Andean forest of Colombia.
We'll reach the area that separates the sierra from the Chingaza páramo, a significant refuge of flora and fauna in the Andes. This region serves as a water source for Bogotá.
During the hike, we'll observe pajonales, chusques, and senecios, among other species. After reaching an altitude of 3,200 meters (10,500 feet), we'll return via the same trail to the Sisga Dam.
The activity will conclude after four hours at the starting point.
