Luang Prabang City Tour Itinerary

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or designated meeting point, setting the stage for a guided English-language tour of Luang Prabang. If you opt for the morning tour, your first destination will be a traditional local market, where you'll witness authentic daily life as you navigate through various food stalls offering everything from fresh vegetables and fish sourced from the Mekong River to medicinal herbs.

You will then proceed to Wat Mai Suwannaphunmaram, a Buddhist temple built in the 18th century by King Anurat. Here, you can appreciate its stunning architecture and vibrant red and gold interiors, allowing the serene atmosphere of this sacred site to envelop you.

Your journey continues to the Royal Palace, known as Haw Kham. Now functioning as a museum, this former royal residence provides a window into the intriguing history and culture of Laos. Directly adjacent to the Royal Palace, a photo opportunity awaits at the iconic dragon-guarded stairway leading up to the sacred Mount Phousi, the highest point in Luang Prabang.

Wat Xieng Thong, one of the city’s most exquisite temples, situated between the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers. This Buddhist sanctuary, often referred to as the Temple of the Golden City, boasts stunning mosaics and intricate 16th-century carvings, making it a must-visit location.
