Luang Prabang City Tour Itinerary

Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel or agreed meeting point for a guided English-language tour of Luang Prabang. If you opt for the morning tour, the first stop is a traditional local market, where you will explore food stalls selling fresh vegetables, fish from the Mekong River, and medicinal plants.

The next stop is Wat Mai Suwannaphunmaram, an 18th-century Buddhist temple. Admire its architecture and red and gold interior that promotes tranquility.

You will visit the Royal Palace, now a museum, to learn about Laos' culture and history. Near the palace, photo opportunities are available at the dragon-guarded stairway leading to Mount Phousi, the highest hill in Luang Prabang.

Experience colonial architecture as you walk to Wat Xieng Thong, known as the Temple of the Golden City, which features stunning mosaics and intricate 16th-century carvings.

Proceed to the Ock Pop Tok Living Artisan Centre to see Lao textiles and handicrafts. The tour concludes with a visit to the UXO Laos Visitors Centre, where you can watch short films about the country’s history and culture.
