The morning tour starts at a traditional local market, where you will explore typical food stalls offering fresh vegetables, fish from the Mekong River, and medicinal plants.
Your route will then take you to Wat Mai Suwannaphunmaram, a Buddhist temple from the 18th century, known for its exquisite architecture and rich red and gold interior.
Following this, you will visit the Royal Palace, also known as Haw Kham, now a museum providing insight into Laos' history and culture. Nearby, take photos at the dragon-guarded stairway leading to Mount Phousi, Luang Prabang's highest hill.
Next, witness colonial architecture while walking to Wat Xieng Thong, a significant temple between the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, known for its spectacular mosaics and intricate carvings from the 16th century.
Continue to the Ock Pop Tok Living Artisan Centre, showcasing beautiful textiles and handicrafts from Laos. The final stop is the UXO Laos Visitors Centre, where you can view short films about the country’s history and culture.
