On this hike, we'll tour the coastline of Tepuhueico Park, known for its dunes and the contrasting colors between the green jungle and blue water.
Hike Details
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel or you may meet us directly at the lodge in Tepuhueico Park. This hiking activity around Chiloé's Pacific coastline begins with a walk towards Quilán Beach to admire the sand dunes and the natural beauty of the area. We will also visit Muelle del Tiempo at Punta Pilol.
Did you know it is the largest beach on Isla Grande de Chiloé, famous for gold diggers and fossil discoveries? We will provide insights on this and more.
Continuing along the Tepuhueico Coast, we will walk to a viewpoint to observe birds like the Lile duck, native to Chile and Peru. After passing cliffs with stunning views, we will proceed to Tricolour Beach, known for its forest, sand, and sea colors, where we will explore local fishing and seaweed-collecting traditions.
The hike will last between 5 and 6 hours before returning to the starting point.
