Tepuhueico Park Coastal Hike
- 5 - 6 Stunden
- 1 Bewertung
On this hike, we'll tour the coastline of Tepuhueico Park, known for its dunes and contrasting colours between the green of the jungle and the blue water.
Hike Details
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel or you can meet us directly at the lodge in Tepuhueico Park to begin this hiking activity around Chiloé's Pacific coastline. We'll explore the coastal area starting with Quilán Beach, where we'll admire the sand dunes and the beauty of this natural space. You'll see the Muelle del Tiempo at Punta Pilol, ideal for photos.
This location, the largest beach on the Isla Grande de Chiloé, is also known for gold diggers and fossil discoveries, which we'll discuss during the tour. We'll continue on foot along the Tepuhueico Coast towards a viewpoint to observe birds like the Lile duck, a native species to Chile and Peru.
After passing by cliffs with stunning views, we'll hike to Tricolour Beach, named for the forest, sand, and sea colours, where we'll learn about local fishing and seaweed-collecting traditions. The tour will last between 5 and 6 hours before we return to the starting point.
Hotel Pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels in Castro and Chonchi. If you're staying elsewhere, you can choose the option without pickup and travel to the Tepuhueico Lodge on your own.
