Enter the wildest area of the Tepuhueico Park on this hiking tour, where we'll explore the forest's flora and fauna on Isla Grande de Chiloé.

Options

When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between the following options:

3-kilometre (1.8-mile) Hike: 1.5 - 2 hours

This hike begins at the outskirts of the Tepuhueico Lodge and leads to the lake of the same name and the source of the Bravo River. Along the trail, you'll pass a 10-metre (32-foot) high waterfall and view the river with its caramel-coloured waters, which flow into the habitat of the huillín, a Southern River Otter. The tour includes a stop at the Waterfall viewpoint and a visit to Mañíos Square, home to trees over 600 years old with trunks reaching 30 metres (98 feet) high.

7-kilometre (4.3-mile) Hike: 4 - 5 hours

This route starts at the Arrayanes Cathedral, showcasing a dense myrtle tree forest that can contain trees up to 25 metres (82 feet). You'll visit the banks of the Bravo River and traverse forests abundant with mosses, lichens, and ancient trees. This option also includes a short stop at Mañíos Square and culminates at the Waterfall viewpoint, a serene spot within Tepuhueico Park.
