Hiking in Yanachaga Chemillén National Park

You'll be picked up at 8:30 am at your hotel in Oxapampa and then head towards the Yanachaga Chemillén National Park, a key conservation area in the Amazon basin.

After a 25-minute drive, we'll begin our hike through the park, known for its significant biodiversity. The hike will include crossing ecosystems typical of the Central Peruvian rainforest, including cloud forests and yungas parks. Our first stop will be at the El Cedro refuge, where an informative talk about the route will be provided.

As we continue on the trail, we will observe a variety of birds, mammals, and native plants in the area. The hike culminates at Abra La Esperanza, the peak of the park, offering views of the Yanachaga Chemillén landscapes.

After taking in the views, we will return to the starting point, where the vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Oxapampa. We expect to drop you off at your hotel around 2:30 pm.
