Derrepente Waterfall Trekking Tour
We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Tingo Maria at 8 am. After a 30-minute drive to the town of Cayumba, located in the district of Mariano Dámaso Beráum, we will begin the tour.
The trek includes a 3-hour hiking route along the Derrepente River. Learn about the river's unique name during the journey.
As we hike, we'll observe the rapids and waterfalls along with the area's biodiversity, crossing passes and bridges within the Peruvian jungle. The trek will lead us to the Espejo Mágico and El Ensueño waterfalls, where we will pause to rest and enjoy a swim. Participants should bring a picnic for lunch.
After our break, we'll continue hiking back to Cayumba, where transportation awaits to return you to Tingo Maria. We aim to drop you off at your hotel by 5 pm.
