Derrepente Waterfall Trekking Tour
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Tingo Maria at 8 am. After a 30-minute drive, we will arrive at the town of Cayumba in the district of Mariano Dámaso Beráum.
The tour includes a 3-hour trekking route along the Derrepente River, where you will learn about its origin. During the hike, participants will observe the rapids and waterfalls and the surrounding biodiversity. We will cross passes and bridges in the Peruvian jungle, visiting the Espejo Mágico and El Ensueño waterfalls. There will be opportunities to rest, swim, and enjoy a packed lunch at these locations.
After this break, we will continue the trek back to Cayumba, where transportation will be available to return to Tingo Maria, dropping you off at your hotel by 5 pm.
