Derrepente Waterfall Trekking Tour

We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Tingo Maria at 8 am. We'll then drive for 30 minutes to the town of Cayumba, located in the district of Mariano Dámaso Beráum.

Once we arrive at Cayumba, we'll start a 3-hour trekking route along the Derrepente River. Find out how it got this curious name on the tour!

During the hike, we'll admire the rapids and waterfalls of the river as well as its abundant biodiversity. We'll cross passes and bridges in the Peruvian jungle until we reach the Espejo Mágico and El Ensueño waterfalls. We'll make stops at these two enclaves to rest and take a refreshing swim. You'll also have time for lunch – bring your own picnic!

After the break, we'll resume the trekking route and head back to Cayumba, where transportation will be waiting to take us back to Tingo Maria. We'll drop you off at your hotel at 5 pm.
