Trekking Tour to Derrepente Waterfall

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Tingo Maria at 8 am. A short 30-minute drive will take us to the town of Cayumba, nestled within the district of Mariano Dámaso Berau.

Upon arrival in Cayumba, we will initiate our three-hour trekking journey alongside the Derrepente River. Discover the origin of its intriguing name as we progress on our tour!

Throughout this hike, we will take in the stunning rapids and cascades that adorn the river, showcasing its vibrant biodiversity. Crossing bridges and paths through the heart of the lush Peruvian jungle, we will reach the picturesque Espejo Mágico and El Ensueño waterfalls. Here, pauses will allow us to relax and enjoy a refreshing swim following our vigorous trek. A picnic lunch can also be enjoyed, so remember to pack your meal!

Once leisure time has concluded, we will continue our trek back to Cayumba, where our transportation will be ready to return you to Tingo Maria. We plan to have you back at your hotel by 5 pm.
