Pickup is at 8:00 am from your accommodation in Tingo Maria for transportation to Huayna Capac, home of the Sacred Mantle cave.

Following a half-hour drive, a 25-minute hike through the Peruvian jungle leads to the impressive Sacred Mantle Cave, a karst cave formed millions of years ago.

Participants will prepare for the expedition by equipping helmets and torches. The exploration will include entering the labyrinths populated with stalactites and stalagmites, and visiting underground lagoons that showcase various rock formations, including the cathedral.

The adventure continues as we descend to a depth of 350 metres, where the underground waterfall of the Sacred Mantle is located. It features a 15-metre drop into the Tragadero del Misterio (Mystery Gully). Visitors will have the opportunity to ponder the secrets held by this enigmatic site.

A break for lunch with your packed picnic will occur along the way before returning to the surface. After exiting the cave, we will walk to Huayna Capac for transport back to your respective hotels in Tingo Maria, with an estimated arrival at around 5:00 pm.
