We’ll pick you up at 8:00 am at your accommodation in Tingo Maria to go to Huayna Capac, home of the Sacred Mantle cave.

After a half-hour drive, we will arrive and embark on a 25-minute hike into the Peruvian jungle to reach the Sacred Mantle Cave, a karst cave formed millions of years ago.

Upon arrival, we will prepare for the expedition with helmets and torches. We’ll explore the cave’s labyrinths of stalactites and stalagmites as well as the underground lagoons, appreciating various rock formations, including the cathedral.

Our adventure will continue as we descend to a depth of 350 metres, where we will find the underground waterfall of the Sacred Mantle, plunging down a 15-metre drop into the Tragadero del Misterio (Mystery Gully).

We’ll make a stop for lunch with the picnic you bring, after which we will return to the surface. Once outside, we will walk to Huayna Capac, where transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotels in Tingo Maria, arriving around 5:00 pm.
