Venture into the Amazon rainforest and explore its dense vegetation on our day trip to the Ugarteche River basin. You'll see incredible natural treasures such as Neptune Falls as we walk through this beautiful area.

Ugarteche River Basin Day Trip

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Tingo María for a 30-minute journey to the district of Hermilio Valdizán.

The Ugarteche River, located in eastern Peru, is surrounded by lush vegetation and freshwater springs.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a 1-hour walk through the jungle to explore the Ugarteche River basin. You will observe various species of flora and fauna, learn about different tropical crops, and the biodiversity of this part of the Amazon rainforest.

During our walk, we will encounter waterfalls and natural pools, including Neptune Falls. We will pause here for you to relax and take a refreshing swim.

After our time in this natural area, we will return to the jungle's edge where our bus will be waiting. We aim to bring you back to Tingo María and drop you at your hotel by 3 pm.
