Venture into the Amazon rainforest and explore its dense vegetation on our day trip to the Ugarteche River basin. You'll see incredible natural treasures such as Neptune Falls as we walk through this beautiful area.

Ugarteche River Basin Day Trip

After picking you up from your accommodation in Tingo María, we will travel for 30 minutes to the district of Hermilio Valdizán.

The Ugarteche River is situated in eastern Peru's region, surrounded by lush vegetation and freshwater springs.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 1-hour walk through the jungle to explore the Ugarteche River basin. Participants will observe various species of flora and fauna, as well as learn about tropical crops and the biodiversity present in this section of the Amazon rainforest.

During the hike, we will encounter waterfalls and natural pools, including Neptune Falls, where you can rest and enjoy a swim.

After this natural experience, we will head back to the jungle's edge to meet the bus. We will return to Tingo María and drop you off at your hotel by 3 pm.
