Vulcano Cavern Excursion

Your day begins with a pick-up at 8 am from your accommodation, after which we will head towards the district of Castillo Grande, a scenic drive of approximately 35 minutes from Tingo María.

Upon reaching the quaint village of Sinchi Roca, we will embark on a 20-minute trek through the vibrant jungle, leading us to the stunning Vulcano cavern. This remarkable site is also known as Cueva de los Mil Encantos. Throughout our expedition, we will uncover numerous interesting facts and insights.

This extensive cavern was first uncovered and named in 1997 by Silvia Zamora, a notable advocate for tourism in the area. Inside the grotto, you will encounter an array of geological formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, as well as intriguing underground rivers and lagoons.

Our exploration will take us both inside and outside the cavern, which is enveloped by rich vegetation. The tropical flora and lush moss surrounding the site offer a breathtaking and enchanting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for capturing remarkable photographs.

Concluding the outing, we will return you to your accommodation around 1 pm.
