Explore the charm of Apulia on our Cisternino private tour in the Itria Valley. You'll be accompanied by an expert guide as you stroll around this southern village, known for its beauty.

Cisternino Guided Tour

We'll meet in Piazza Garibaldi, at the entrance to the gardens, and set off on our guided tour of Cisternino. The town is among the hundred most beautiful villages in Italy.

We will visit the Mother Church of San Nicola, a 12th-century building built on the foundations of an ancient basilica, featuring a neoclassical façade completed in 1848. Afterward, we'll stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the Itria Valley and the Trulli houses and olive trees in the landscape.

The tour continues through Cisternino, where we will observe various examples of its "spontaneous architecture". We will see prestigious historic noble buildings and stroll through picturesque alleys decorated with traditional Apulian chianche stones.

Next, we will visit the majestic Norman tower, dating back to the 11th century, which rises 55 feet (17 metres) on the Murge plateau. We will also explore the Church of San Quirico and Giulitta, an impressive 18th-century building associated with a mysterious legend.

After 2 hours of history, we will conclude our guided tour of this beautiful place.
