Explore the charm of Apulia on our Cisternino private tour in the Itria Valley, accompanied by an expert guide. Cisternino is recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

Cisternino Guided Tour

We will meet at Piazza Garibaldi, where our guided tour of Cisternino begins. Our knowledgeable guide will lead us through this picturesque town, identified for its aesthetic value.

Nearby, we will visit the Mother Church of San Nicola, a 12th-century structure built on the site of an ancient basilica, featuring a neoclassical façade completed in 1848. After the church visit, we will pause at a viewpoint to appreciate the Itria Valley and the Trulli houses amongst olive trees.

The tour proceeds through Cisternino, showcasing its "spontaneous architecture" linked to ancient traditions. We will encounter notable historic noble buildings and wander through alleys adorned with traditional Apulian chianche stones.

We will then visit the majestic Norman tower, an 11th-century structure reaching 55 feet (17 metres) on one of the highest points of the Murge plateau, and the Church of San Quirico and Giulitta, an 18th-century building with an intriguing legend. After 2 hours of exploration, we will conclude our guided tour.
