Nature and history are the highlights of this activity that includes a hiking route through Cuetzalán and a visit to a weaving workshop. We'll discover one of the most important traditions of the town, and you can dive next to beautiful waterfalls.

Cuetzalán Hiking Tour + Loom Workshop Visit

At the time of your choice, we will pick you up at your hotel in Cuetzalán and drive by minibus to the Aventura Grotto, located 10 minutes away. Are you ready to start walking?

We'll begin a hiking tour through the Aventura cave, noted for its stalactites and stalagmites. As we walk through the cave, we'll explain how these formations are created over time.

Following the cave, we will explore two of Cuetzalán's waterfalls: El Salto and La Escondida. You can approach the waterfalls on foot and take a dip in their pools, providing a perfect way to relax after the hike.

The next part of the excursion includes a visit to a backstrap loom workshop, lasting about 1.5 hours. We'll discover how this tool, used since pre-Hispanic times to create garments in the Mesoamerican region, operates.

We will observe how the locals of Cuetzalán produce their textile garments and you can ask any questions you may have, achieving an immersion into traditional Mexican culture.

After a five-hour tour, we will conclude the activity at your hotel.
