Nature and history are the highlights of this activity that includes a hiking route through Cuetzalán and a visit to a weaving workshop. You will experience one of the town's significant traditions and enjoy nearby waterfalls.

Cuetzalán Hiking Tour + Loom Workshop Visit

We will pick you up at your hotel in Cuetzalán and drive by minibus to the Aventura Grotto, located 10 minutes away. The hiking tour will begin through the Aventura cave, notable for its stalactites and stalagmites, where explanations about the formation of these structures will be provided.

Following the cave exploration, we will visit two of the area’s waterfalls, El Salto and La Escondida. You can walk to the waterfalls and take a dip in their pools as a way to relax after the hike.

Next, we will visit a backstrap loom workshop, spending approximately 1.5 hours there. You will learn how this ancient sewing tool has been used since pre-Hispanic times to create garments in the Mesoamerican region.

You will observe how the residents of Cuetzalán produce their textile garments and have the opportunity to ask questions, providing a glimpse into traditional Mexican culture.

After a five-hour tour, we will return you to your hotel.
