Southern Sonora 4-Day Tour

Day 1: Ciudad Obregón

After landing at Ciudad Obregón International Airport, you will be picked up and taken for a two-hour tour of the historic center. Key sites include the Plaza de Armas and the statue of Alvaro Obregón, highlighting his role in the Mexican Revolution. After the tour, check in at the hotel and enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 2: Ciudad Obregón - Cócorit - Navojoa

Following an American breakfast, we will visit Cócorit, founded by Jesuits in 1617, and explore its streets. The tour includes a visit to the Yo'o Juara butterfly sanctuary focused on the Cuatro Espejos butterfly and the Yaqui Indigenous Peoples. After a traditional lunch at Los Chanates restaurant, we will proceed to Navojoa for a brief tour, ending at the Parish Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Navojoa - Álamos

At 8 am, we will have a continental breakfast then head to the Pueblo Mágico of Álamos for a day of hiking at Cerro El Tecolote, lunch in town, and a visit to the Museo Costumbrista del Estado de Sonora. The day includes a guided walk through the old city, including significant landmarks. Free time will be provided in the evening.

Day 4: Álamos - Ciudad Obregón

We will start with breakfast followed by a visit to the María Félix Museum. Next, we will hike in the Sierra de Álamos–Río Cuchujaqui Flora & Fauna Protection Area for two hours. After lunch in Navojoa, we will proceed to Ciudad Obregón International Airport, arriving by 3 pm.
