- 9/10 | 4 Bewertungen
Ciudad Valles is synonymous with adventure. Discover it from a canoe, while admiring the biggest waterfall in San Luis Potosi and bathing in a sunken cenote, like a true explorer!
What to expect?
We will pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and leave Ciudad Valles towards the Tampaón River. After arriving at the shore, the guide will provide a brief explanation on how to paddle upstream.
We will board the pangas, traditional wooden canoes of the area. With paddles, we will navigate through the calm turquoise waters of the Tampaón River. Surrounded by high rocky walls and hanging gardens, we'll see the impressive Tamul Waterfall, which rises up 345 feet, the tallest in San Luis Potosi.
We'll continue rowing upstream, making a stop to explore the Cueva del Agua (Cave of Water), known as the sunken Cenote Huasteco. This quaint cavern features crystal clear waters that reach a depth of 80 feet.
After enjoying the natural pool, we will paddle back to the Tampaón Riverbank and visit a local restaurant for a traditional lunch and a drink. We will return to Ciudad Valles by 6 pm, concluding the excursion at your accommodation.
