Tamul Waterfall Canoe Trip
- 9 Stunden
Ciudad Valles is synonymous with adventure. Discover it from a canoe, while admiring the biggest waterfall in San Luis Potosi and bathing in a sunken cenote, like a true explorer!
What to expect?
We will pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and head towards the Tampaón River. Upon arrival, the guide will provide instructions on how to paddle upstream.
We will board the pangas, traditional wooden canoes. With paddles, we will navigate the calm turquoise waters of the Tampaón River. Among high rocky walls and hanging gardens, the Tamul Waterfall will come into view, rising 345 feet high, making it the largest waterfall in the state.
We will continue rowing upstream, stopping to explore the Cueva del Agua (Cave of Water), also known as the sunken Cenote Huasteco. This cavern features crystal clear waters that reach a depth of 80 feet.
After enjoying the natural pool, we'll paddle back to the Tampaón Riverbank and then visit a local restaurant for a traditional lunch and a drink.
We will return to Ciudad Valles by 6 pm and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the excursion.
