Agroflori & Villa Albina Excursion
We'll pick you up at 10 am at your hotel in Cochabamba for an excursion to the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori. Once there, we'll begin exploring this nature reserve dedicated to the protection of abused animals. This initiative arose more than two decades ago after its founder, Marcelo Antezana, witnessed the trafficking of exotic animals while working at the airport.
During the visit, we'll learn about the important preservation work carried out by the park, which aims to reintegrate birds like the Tucuman amazon into their habitat. We will see different species such as Scarlet and Hyacinth macaws, along with other birds like peacocks, eagles, and flamingos.
The next stop will be Villa Albina, built by wealthy Bolivian miner Simón Patiño for his wife. Patiño, who made his fortune from tin mining, named the palace after her. After the visit to the residence, we'll return to Cochabamba, arriving at 3:30 pm.
Changes to the itinerary
On Saturdays and Sundays, the order of the visits will be reversed, visiting Villa Albina first and then the Agroflori bird sanctuary.
