Cochabamba Guided Tour
We'll meet at 2 pm in the central Plaza de Colón to begin our guided tour of Cochabamba. After admiring the square, the beautiful El Hospicio church and the Colón building, we'll set off on our walking tour of the city.
As we walk, we'll explore the murals dedicated to the women of Cochabamba, who played a key role in the early 19th century. We'll learn about their contributions during this part of the tour. We will also visit the murals "Ángel Andino" and "Tinku Callejero".
Next, we'll head to the 25 de Mayo market to observe the lifestyles and daily lives of local inhabitants. Nearby, we'll sample phisara or pisara, a quinoa-based dish with fresh cheese and potatoes.
The tour will continue to Plaza 14 de Septiembre, where we will admire several buildings, including the Catedral de San Sebastián, a 17th-century cathedral featuring a magnificent tower and a large rose window. A description of the Bolivian coat of arms and flag will also be provided.
The guided tour of Cochabamba concludes in the Plaza 14 de Septiembre at 4:30 pm, following a two-and-a-half hour walk.
