Cochabamba Guided Tour
We'll meet at 2 pm in the central Plaza de Colón to begin our guided tour of Cochabamba. After admiring the square, the El Hospicio church and the Colón building, we'll set off on our walking tour of the city.
As we walk, we'll explore the murals dedicated to the women of Cochabamba, who displayed bravery at the beginning of the 19th century. We'll find out all about them during this part of the tour, and visit the popular murals "Ángel Andino" and "Tinku Callejero".
Next, we'll head to the 25 de Mayo market to observe the lifestyles of the local inhabitants. Nearby, we'll try phisara or pisara, a quinoa-based dish with cheese and potatoes.
The tour will then take us to the Plaza 14 de Septiembre, where we will view several important buildings, including the Catedral de San Sebastián, a 17th-century cathedral. We will also explain the significance of the Bolivian coat of arms and flag.
The guided tour of Cochabamba concludes at Plaza 14 de Septiembre at 4:30 pm after a two-and-a-half hour walk.
