Cochabamba Guided Tour
We'll meet at 2 pm in the central Plaza de Colón to begin our guided tour of Cochabamba. After admiring the square, the El Hospicio church, and the Colón building, we'll set off on our walking tour of the city.
As we walk, we'll explore the murals dedicated to the women of Cochabamba, focusing on their bravery in the 19th century. We'll learn about them and visit the renowned murals "Ángel Andino" and "Tinku Callejero".
Next, we'll head to the 25 de Mayo market, where you can observe the local lifestyles. Nearby, we'll try phisara or pisara, a quinoa-based dish with fresh cheese and potatoes.
The tour continues to the Plaza 14 de Septiembre, featuring several buildings, including the Catedral de San Sebastián, a 17th-century cathedral with a significant tower and rose window. We'll also explain the meaning of the Bolivian coat of arms and flag.
The guided tour of Cochabamba ends at 4:30 pm in the Plaza 14 de Septiembre after a two-and-a-half hour walk.
