With this guided tour of the Convent Museum of Santa Teresa, you'll learn about one of Cochabamba's oldest religious monuments.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the Plaza de Colón and walk to the Convent of Santa Teresa, founded in 1760. This baroque-style monastery has been home to the Discalced Carmelite Sisters since its inception and represents an important part of Bolivian architectural heritage.

The tour will explore various sections of the convent-museum, where we will experience its history and ambiance. We will view the mural paintings in select rooms and visit the church, where the religious artworks on the main altar include the central altarpiece adorned with gold leaf decorations.

Additionally, we will walk through the cloister, characterized by a stone arcade. The tour will last approximately 2 hours, concluding at the exit with farewells.
