Toro Toro 2-day Tour

Day 1

You'll be picked up at 7 am from your hotel in Cochabamba to begin this 2-day trip. The journey takes you through South Bolivia's Potosí department, allowing you to admire the villages surrounding the High Valley of Cochabamba and the Angostura Lake, an artificial 6 mile (10 km) squared lake.

You'll pass through Tarata, Punata, Huayculi, and Ansaldo as you follow the Caine River to reach the village of Toro Toro. After settling into the hotel and having lunch, you'll explore the Toro Toro National Park, which features a species protection area and a palaeontological site.

During your visit, you will observe impressive dinosaur footprints and Mesozoic fossils at the archaeological site and explore the Umajalanta cavern, a 4 mile (7 km) deep grotto with stalactites and an interior lagoon inhabited by blind fish. Finally, you'll return to the hotel for dinner and spend the night.

Day 2

On the second day, the tour starts early with breakfast before leaving for the deepest part of the Toro Toro canyon. Here, you can enjoy crystal clear water pools for swimming. After your time at the gorge, lunch will be provided before returning to Cochabamba, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 6:30 pm.
