The guided tour begins at the port of Kochi where we board a minibus to Fort Kochi, the oldest part of the city.
At Fort Kochi, we will view the traditional 'Chinese fishing nets', ancient fishing techniques introduced to India from China in the 14th century. You will learn about their use and historical significance.
The tour continues at St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India, where the remains of Vasco da Gama were once located. Nearby, you will visit the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, known for its stained glass and fresco paintings.
Next, we visit the neighborhood of Dhobi Khana to see the Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace) and the Paradesi Synagogue, a key Jewish shrine in southern India, where you will learn about the local Jewish community's history.
Finally, we return to the port in Kochi to conclude the tour.
