Guided Tour of Kochi
The guided tour begins at the port of Kochi, where we travel by minibus to Fort Kochi, the city's oldest part.
At Fort Kochi, we will see the traditional 'Chinese fishing nets', with a history tracing back to the 14th century when the technique was imported from China.
The tour continues at St. Francis Church, one of India's oldest European churches, where the remains of Vasco da Gama rested until 1539. Nearby is the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, notable for its stained glass and fresco paintings.
From Fort Kochi, we proceed to Dhobi Khana to visit the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, and the Paradesi Synagogue, a significant Jewish shrine in southern India, highlighting the community's history in Asia.
Finally, we return to the port in Kochi to conclude the tour.
