Houseboat Cruise and Fort Kochi Tour Itinerary

After being picked up at Kochi port, you'll embark on a one hour and 45 minute drive on a comfortable air-conditioned bus to Alappuzha, also known as Alleppey. Here you'll climb aboard a houseboat and begin your adventure through the Keralan backwaters.

As you cruise slowly on your covered houseboat, admire the area’s lush waterfront vegetation, including rice paddies, coconut palms and traditional wooden houseboats. You'll have plenty of time to photograph these views.

During your cruise, you'll enjoy a traditional Keralan meal on board, featuring rice, chicken, fish, salad, vegetables, and poppadums. After two hours of sailing, you'll disembark and head to the Fort Kochi area, known for its historic significance.

At Fort Kochi, learn about the region's history, particularly the ancient Chinese fishing nets, which have been used for centuries to catch fresh fish.

After a day of sightseeing and history, you'll be taken back to Kochi port to return to your cruise ship.
