Houseboat Cruise and Fort Kochi Tour Itinerary

After being picked up at Kochi port, you'll embark on a one hour and 45 minute drive on a comfortable air-conditioned bus to Alappuzha, also known as Alleppey. Here you'll climb aboard a houseboat and begin your adventure through the Keralan backwaters.

As you cruise slowly on your covered houseboat, admire the area's luscious waterfront vegetation. You'll see picturesque rice paddies, coconut palms, and traditional wooden houseboats with ample time for photography.

During your cruise, you'll enjoy a traditional Keralan meal on board, including rice, chicken, fish, salad, vegetables, and poppadums. After two hours of sailing, you'll disembark the houseboat and be driven to the Fort Kochi area.

At Fort Kochi, learn about the region's history, especially known for its ancient Chinese fishing nets, used for centuries to supply the city's fresh fish.

Finally, after a day filled with history and sights, you'll be taken back to Kochi port by bus to return to your cruise ship.
