Excursion to Monte Albán & Villages
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca and set off to the archaeological site of Monte Alban, one of the most significant discoveries of the Zapotec civilization.
During our visit, you'll see residential structures, pyramids, temples, and altars. Listen carefully to the guide's explanations about the rites that were practiced at this historical site. Nearby, we'll stop at a pre-Hispanic jewellery shop to admire the replicas of aboriginal jewellery.
The journey will continue to the village of Arrazola, renowned for its traditional Alebrijes, which are colorful wooden figures and a vital aspect of Mexican culture.
Next, we'll head to San Bartolo Coyotepec to explore a black clay workshop, where these natural pieces are a hallmark of the town. You will have an hour of free time to enjoy lunch in this village.
