Excursion to Monte Albán & Villages
Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel in Oaxaca, followed by a visit to the archaeological site of Monte Alban, a significant site of the Zapotec civilization. The tour includes visits to residential structures, pyramids, temples, and altars, with insights into the rites practiced there provided by the guide. You will also visit a pre-Hispanic jewellery shop featuring replicas of aboriginal jewellery.
The next destination is the village of Arrazola, known for its traditional Alebrijes, which are colorful wooden figures representative of Mexican culture. Afterward, the tour continues to San Bartolo Coyotepec to explore a black clay workshop, famous for its natural pieces. During this stop, you will have one hour of free time for lunch.
After 8 hours of exploration, the tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Oaxaca.
