Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca and make our way to Santa María del Tule. Here, we'll begin our immersion in Guelaguetza, celebrated on the two Mondays closest to July 16 in honour of the Virgen del Carmen.

First, we'll be immersed in the festive atmosphere of Guelaguetza, witnessing traditional dances and admiring the textiles of different regions of Oaxaca. We'll also visit the iconic tree of Tule to learn about its significance in the community, known for having the thickest trunk in the world.

Our tour will continue at the archaeological site of Mitla, the second most important site in Oaxaca, where we'll learn about Zapotec culture and explore ancient structures reflecting this civilization's history.

At lunchtime, you'll enjoy local Oaxacan cuisine, savoring authentic dishes in a familiar atmosphere. After lunch, we'll visit a weaving workshop to learn about the region's textile richness.

Afterward, we'll return to your hotel in Oaxaca, concluding an exciting day of about 9 hours in total.
