Tour Details

We will begin your journey by picking you up from your accommodation in Oaxaca at the scheduled time, embarking on a memorable adventure that connects you with the region's deep-rooted heritage.

Your first destination will be the archaeological site of Mitla, recognized as the second most significant archaeological area in Oaxaca. Its mystique and relative obscurity compared to other sites will surely fascinate you, as you delve into the rich history and cultural legacy of the Zapotec civilization while exploring its ancient remains.

When the clock strikes noon, prepare to indulge in authentic Oaxacan cuisine at the cozy home of Doña María, where you can enjoy a delightful home-cooked meal. Following your meal, we will pay a visit to her family’s weaving workshop, offering you a unique opportunity to observe the traditional crafting processes behind Oaxaca’s celebrated textiles.

Next, we will make our way to Santa María del Tule, where you will have the chance to admire the famed Tule Tree, renowned for possessing the widest trunk globally. From there, we'll transition into the heart of the Guelaguetza festivities in a nearby community. Around 5 pm, you will be enveloped in the vibrant atmosphere of this time-honored celebration, witnessing traditional dances and marveling at the beautiful garments representing the various regions of Oaxaca.

After a fulfilling day, we will return to your hotel, concluding nearly 9 hours of your exploration and enjoyment.
