Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca and travel to Santa María del Tule. Here, we'll begin our immersion in Guelaguetza, celebrated on the two Mondays closest to July 16 in honour of the Virgen del Carmen.

We'll experience the festive atmosphere of the Guelaguetza, witnessing traditional dances and admiring textiles from different regions of Oaxaca. We will also visit the iconic tree of Tule to learn about its significance in the community, noted for having the thickest trunk in the world.

Our tour continues at the archaeological site of Mitla, the second most important archaeological site in Oaxaca, where we'll learn about Zapotec culture and explore ancient structures that tell the story of this civilisation.

At lunchtime, you'll enjoy local Oaxacan cuisine, tasting authentic dishes in a familiar and cozy atmosphere. After lunch, we'll visit a weaving workshop to learn about the region's textiles.

We'll return to your hotel in Oaxaca after approximately 9 hours, concluding an exciting day.
