Guelatao & Calpulálpam 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Oaxaca - Guelatao de Juárez - Calpulálpam de Méndez

At 10 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca and travel to the Guelatao glass viewpoint for views of the Oaxaca Valley and Sierra Juárez mountain range. Next, we will visit a museum based on the house where Benito Juárez lived, along with the basilica of his baptism. Following this, we will proceed to Calpulálpam de Méndez, a Pueblo Mágico known for its embroidery, where you will have free time for lunch. The tour will include visits to local houses, the market, and the San Mateo Apóstol temple, followed by an overnight stay in stone cabins.

Day 2: Calpulálpam de Méndez - Oaxaca

We will start early with a visit to the UMA, a reserve focused on the protection of white-tailed deer. After observing the deer, we will walk barefoot in Arroyo Cave to connect with the earth. Back in Calpulálpam de Méndez, you will have 1 hour for lunch. After this, we will visit the Traditional Indigenous Medicine Centre to learn about local plants' medicinal properties and have options for a body cleansing, massage, or sauna. We will return to your hotel in Oaxaca by approximately 7 pm.
