Day Trip Details

You will be picked up from your hotel at the scheduled time and transported to Mount Alban, located 10 km from Oaxaca City. This site is a significant location in Zapotec culture. Upon arrival, an expert guide will lead you through the ancient site. You will learn about the numerous legends as you visit pyramids, temples, altars, and residential structures around the Gran Plaza. The ceremonial centre of Mount Alban was a vital religious site in Mesoamerica and functioned as the Zapotec capital. This tour will provide insights into the culture and history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The excursion concludes with a return to hotels in Oaxaca after a 3-hour tour.
