Ocotlán de Morelos is a small town located in the central valleys region. On this tour, you will explore its neoclassical church, the local market, and a square where residents from the Oaxaca region sell their products.

Ocotlan Day Trip

You will be picked up from your hotel in Oaxaca and travel to Ocotlán de Morelos, situated 45 kilometers from the city center.

The itinerary includes wandering through the town's streets and visiting the Ocotlán Basilica, known for its neoclassical decoration.

Next, you will visit the local market to enjoy regional delicacies (not included) and explore the traditional square, where every Friday, residents of Oaxaca offer artisanal wares for sale. Here, you can purchase food, utensils, or textiles while enjoying the festive atmosphere.

The tour continues to Santo Tomás Jalieza, a community renowned for traditional mesoamerican weaving.

Finally, you will visit San Martín Tilcajete to learn about the production of 'alebrijes', colorful sculptures inspired by the work of Pedro Linares, which symbolize Oaxaca's artisanal culture.

After the tour, you will return to Oaxaca, arriving around 5:30 pm.
