Explore the little town of San Agustin de Etla, and discover the art and gastronomy of Oaxaca's outskirts. We'll visit the Arts Centre, a cheese workshop, and a paper factory.

San Agustín de Etla Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel, we will head 10 miles (17 km) from Oaxaca to the Etla Valley, where we'll visit the village of San Agustin de Etla. Here, an old hydroelectric plant has been converted into a cooperative that produces paper using natural fibers from tree bark, branches, and flowers.

The tour includes a visit to the San Augustin Arts Centre, also known as CaSa (a play on the word 'home', casa in Spanish). This museum is situated in what was once a textile factory and showcases a range of modern art exhibitions.

We will also stop at a family-owned cheese workshop, where they produce various types of traditional Oaxaca cheese.

After the tour, we will return to your hotel in the center of Oaxaca, arriving at around 2:30 pm.
