Tule and Teotitlán del Valle are two notable towns in the state of Oaxaca. This day trip includes a visit to a mezcal distillery.

At 10 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca and drive to Santa María del Tule.

Our first stop will be the park where the Tree of Tule is located. This juniper tree has the thickest trunk in the world and is over 2,000 years old, weighing around 630 tonnes.

Next, we will visit Teotitlán del Valle, where we will learn about the production of typical tapetes, bags, and sarapes using ancestral pigmentation techniques. Natural elements, such as chinchilla, are used for dyes to avoid harmful artificial products.

Afterward, we will head to a local distillery to discover the production process of mezcal, a popular beverage in Oaxaca.

We will return to Oaxaca and drop you off at your hotel at 2:30 pm.
