Rio Verde Trip

If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep, driving deep into Antioquia's forests. In the village of Boquerón, we'll spend 1 hour walking down the canyon. Mules will carry the equipment during this trek.

Rafting will commence after a safety briefing. We will navigate through 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) of Rio Verde, experiencing waves, whirlpools, and rapids. A stop will be made at the halfway point for a picnic lunch, with opportunities to swim in natural pools and explore hidden waterfalls.

After lunch, we will tackle the best rapids in the second stretch of our journey. The activity will conclude at the Samaná River bridge, where drivers will return us to the initial meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

The 2-day trip option allows for additional activities. On day one, we will conduct the same rafting activity as described, then set up hammocks by the riverbank for rest before dinner. After breakfast on day two, we will hike through the canyon and along a stream. Following that, we will explore secluded areas and secret waterfalls by raft.

A picnic lunch will be provided during the second day, and we will finish rafting at the Samaná River bridge. We’ll return you to the meeting point by 5 pm.

The 2-day trip includes 1 night's accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
