Rio Verde Trip

If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep to drive into Antioquia's forests. In the village of Boquerón, we will walk for 1 hour down the canyon. Mules will accompany us carrying the equipment.

We'll go rafting after a safety briefing from the guide, navigating 15.5 miles (25 kilometres) of waves, whirlpools and rapids. Midway, we will stop for a picnic lunch and have time to swim in natural pools and explore waterfalls.

After lunch, we'll tackle the best rapids in the second stretch of our route. Our activity concludes at the Samaná River bridge, where drivers will take us back to our initial meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

For a more extended experience, consider the 2-day trip to Rio Verde. On the first day, we will follow the rafting itinerary and then set up hammocks at the riverbank for the night after a dinner.

On the second day, we'll prepare breakfast and enjoy a swim in the river. We will hike through the canyon and then raft again to explore secluded areas and secret waterfalls. We will have a picnic lunch as we continue our journey, watching for exotic birds.

The rafting concludes at the Samaná River bridge, with transportation back to our previous meeting point by 5 pm.

Accommodation

The 2-day trip includes 1 night's accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
