Rio Verde Trip

If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep to drive deep into Antioquia's forests. In the village of Boquerón, we'll spend 1 hour walking down the canyon with mules carrying our equipment.

We'll then go rafting, following the guide's safety regulations, navigating through 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) of waves, whirlpools, and rapids. We'll stop halfway for a picnic lunch and a chance to swim in the natural pools and explore hidden waterfalls.

After the break, we'll tackle the best rapids in the second stretch of our route. The activity concludes at the Samaná River bridge, and drivers will take us back to the meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

You can choose the 2-day trip to Rio Verde when booking. On the first day, we'll do the rafting as per the standard itinerary, set up hammocks by the riverbank, and enjoy dinner before sleeping.

The next morning, after breakfast and a refreshing swim, we'll hike through the canyon and along a stream near Rio Verde. Then, we'll go rafting to explore secluded areas and secret waterfalls, pausing for a picnic lunch while looking for exotic birds.

We'll finish rafting at the Samaná River bridge and return to the meeting point by 5 pm.

Accommodation

The 2-day trip includes 1 night's accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
