Looking for a unique way to explore the Italian Alps? If your travels take you to Cogne, don’t miss the opportunity to embark on a scenic carriage ride powered by horses through Gran Paradiso National Park. This experience includes a delightful lunch to savor as well.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Tour in Gran Paradiso National Park

Our adventure begins at 11 a.m. in the quaint village of Valnontey. Here, you will meet the majestic horses and step aboard the carriage, setting off for a charming journey through the stunning landscapes of Gran Paradiso National Park.

As we glide along, relish the breathtaking views of this magnificent natural environment, situated over 5,500 feet (1,680 meters) above sea level. The route will take us through lush forests and striking mountain vistas, featuring a captivating waterfall and a variety of wildlife including birds of prey, mountain goats, and elk.

Following a 45-minute ride, we’ll return to Valnontey, where we’ll unbridle the horses and head to a local eatery for an exquisite lunch. Expect a menu that includes three delectable courses, dessert, a glass of wine, and water—the ideal way to conclude your outing!

The tour will wrap up at 1:45 p.m. at the original meeting location.
