You'll visit the Figueira da Foz Salt Museum for an in-depth look into the importance of salt here, as well as discover the salt production process first-hand.

Driving through the expansive corn and rice plantations of Baixo Mondego, you'll reach the Castle of Montemor-o-Velho, where you'll make a stop for around 30 minutes. This Medieval fortress, built between the 10th and 15th centuries, was the residence of Portugal's royal family for many years. Strategically located on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding valleys, its fortified walls witnessed numerous battles between Muslims and Christians.
