Sanctuary of Fatima & Aljustrel Tour

We'll meet on Emídio Navarro Av. in Coimbra and then head towards the village of Fatima. The first stop is in the historic village of Aljustrel, where, according to Catholic tradition, three young shepherds witnessed apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917.

During your visit, you'll see the houses of Lucía, Francisco, and Jacinta, the three shepherd children. After experiencing the atmosphere of Aljustrel, we will proceed to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, which attracts over six million visitors each year, making it a significant site for Catholicism in Portugal.

You will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary with its 65-meter tall tower, the modern Basilica of the Holy Trinity, and the Chapel of the Apparitions, where the Virgin Mary is said to have first visited the children. There may be an opportunity to attend mass during your visit.

Following the exploration of the key monuments and religious sites at the Sanctuary of Fatima, we will return to the meeting point in Coimbra.
