Serra da Estrela Day Trip
On this day trip, we will explore the Serra da Estrela mountain range, a natural landscape in Portugal. We will meet at 9 am at Avenida Emídio Navarro in Coimbra to begin our excursion.
The first stop will be Sabugueiro, located an hour and a half from Coimbra. It is the highest village in Portugal, situated at 1200 metres above sea level.
After visiting Sabugueiro, we will proceed to the Torre, the highest point on Mainland Portugal, where participants can enjoy scenic views.
Following this, there will be an opportunity to taste Queijo da Serra, a regional cheese. We will then descend through the town of Loriga, with brief stops in Foz de Égua and Piódão.
Finally, we will visit the protected area of Fraga da Pena and the village of Benfeita. The tour will conclude back at the starting point at 5 pm.
