Freycinet Peninsula & Wineglass Bay Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Jetty Road and board a boat for a cruise through the Freycinet National Park, exploring Wineglass Bay.
We'll depart from Coles Bay and begin our exploration of Tasmania's east coast. During the journey, we will observe sea caves, granite cliffs, waterfalls, and Cooks and Bryan Beaches. Informative discussions will cover the flora and fauna within the Freycinet National Park, which has 49 endemic species.
Before reaching Wineglass Bay, we'll view the north coast of Schouten Island, where you may spot little penguins and shearwaters.
Next, we'll navigate into the Tasman Sea as we approach Wineglass Bay. Upon arrival, you can admire the pink peaks of The Hazards mountain range and learn about their unique coloration while taking photographs.
Information on the early explorers of Wineglass Bay will be provided. Depending on the season, you may also see dolphins or, from September to December and May to July, whales.
After 4 hours and 30 minutes at sea, we will return to the starting point.
