Freycinet Peninsula & Wineglass Bay Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Jetty Road and board a boat for a cruise through the Freycinet National Park to explore Wineglass Bay.
Leaving Coles Bay, we will explore Tasmania's east coast, observing sea caves, granite cliffs, waterfalls, and Cooks and Bryan Beaches. During the journey, we will discuss the flora and fauna, including 49 endemic species found in the Freycinet National Park.
Before reaching Wineglass Bay, we'll admire the north coast of Schouten Island and look for little penguins and shearwaters.
Next, we will enter the Tasman Sea as we approach Wineglass Bay, with views of the pink peaks of The Hazards mountain range. We will explain the unique hue and provide opportunities for photos.
Learn about the early explorers of Wineglass Bay and, if fortunate, spot dolphins in the sea. From September to December and May to July, there is also a chance to see whales.
After 4 hours and 30 minutes at sea, we'll return to the starting point.
