Freycinet Peninsula & Wineglass Bay Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Jetty Road and board a boat for a cruise through the Freycinet National Park and explore Wineglass Bay.
We'll depart from Coles Bay and navigate along Tasmania's east coast. During the initial segment of our route, we will see sea caves, granite cliffs, waterfalls, and Cooks and Bryan Beaches. Along the way, we will discuss the flora and fauna of Freycinet National Park, home to 49 endemic species.
Prior to reaching Wineglass Bay, we will view the north coast of Schouten Island and keep an eye out for little penguins and shearwaters inhabiting the area.
We will then proceed into the Tasman Sea, approaching Wineglass Bay, with sightings of the pink peaks of The Hazards mountain range. We'll explain the unique hue as you capture photos.
Learn about the early explorers of Wineglass Bay and, if luck permits, we may spot dolphins. If you join us between September and December or May and July, you could see whales.
After 4 hours 30 minutes at sea, we will conclude our boat trip back at the starting point.
