Looking to do some wine tourism in Colmar? With this ticket to the Alsace Wine Museum, you'll discover the rich winemaking tradition of eastern France. It even comes with a wine tasting!
Why Visit the Alsace Wine Museum?
Found in Cathedral Square, right in Colmar's historical centre, the Alsace Wine Museum will reveal how famous Alsatian wines are produced in the east of France. With your ticket to the museum, you'll have a chance to explore its different rooms with an audioguide in English, which will tell you all the traditional winemaking secrets of this area. The exhibition has interactive spaces that give you close-up insight into local vineyards, the types of grapes cultivated, and the processes used to produce wine.
A notable attraction is a walkway you can tread on to explore the grape stomping phase. You will also find a simulator that offers a tour of an Alsace vineyard within the museum. Additionally, the museum displays informational panels showing locations along the Alsace Wine Route, and you will learn about the roles of winemakers, coopers, sommeliers, chefs, and other wine professionals.
After 1.5 hours, this audio-guided tour concludes with a tasting of a glass of wine.
Opening Times
The Alsace Wine Museum is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Please be aware that the final admission is at 5 pm.
