Welcome to Choco-Story Colmar! On your visit, head to 12 Place de la Cathédrale in Colmar.
Participate in a chocolate-making workshop lasting 45 minutes, where you will learn techniques such as dipping and decorating your own chocolate bars. Under the guidance of a chocolatier, create delicious chocolates to take home.
After the workshop, explore the museum’s interactive exhibits about the rich history of the cacao bean, using an English audio guide to learn about cocoa’s origins and its introduction to Europe by conquistadors in the 15th century.
Discover the significance of cocoa in Mayan, Aztec, and Inca cultures through the exhibition that includes interactive stations to experience aromas of different cocoa varieties and learn about chocolate and praline production. Notable exhibits include a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made from cocoa, honoring Auguste Bartholdi, the statue's creator.
Your visit concludes with a chocolate-tasting session.
