Activity Details
Welcome to Choco-Story Colmar! On your visit, go to 12 Place de la Cathédrale in Colmar.
Begin with a chocolate-making workshop lasting 45 minutes, where you'll learn techniques such as dipping while decorating your own chocolate bars. Under the guidance of a chocolatier, you'll create delicious treats to take home.
After the workshop, explore the museum’s exhibits that detail the rich history of the cacao bean. An audio guide in English will help you learn about cocoa’s origins and its introduction to Europe by conquistadors in the 15th century.
Discover the significant role of cocoa in the Mayan, Aztec, and Inca cultures as you explore interactive stations featuring different cocoa aromas and chocolate-making processes.
A highlight is a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made entirely from cocoa, honoring Auguste Bartholdi, its creator.
Your visit concludes with a chocolate-tasting session.
