Welcome to Choco-Story Colmar! On the day of your visit, head to 12 Place de la Cathédrale in Colmar.

First, you'll participate in a chocolate-making workshop, lasting 45 minutes, where you will learn key techniques such as dipping and decorate your own chocolate bars. Under the guidance of a chocolatier, you'll create delicious items to take home.

After the workshop, explore the museum’s interactive exhibit on the rich history of the cacao bean. Using an audio guide in English, you will learn about cocoa’s origins and its introduction to Europe by conquistadors in the 15th century.

The exhibit highlights the significant role of cocoa in Mayan, Aztec, and Inca cultures. The exhibition includes interactive stations to experience the aromas of different cocoa varieties and learn about chocolate and praline production.

Among the highlights is a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made entirely from cocoa, honoring Auguste Bartholdi, the Colmar-born creator of the original statue in New York.

Your visit concludes with a chocolate-tasting session.

The Choco-Story Colmar Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, with final admission at 5 pm.

Please note the indicated time is for the chocolate workshop; you may explore the museum either before or after.
